Last weeks games were very exciting. Early match between our top 2 teams the Fins and the Polocks. Could this be an early Stanley Cup match??? All Finland int he 1st period as they out score the Polish 3-1. Tide change int he 2nd frame as the Polish snipers explode for 4 goals and Fins manage just a single marker. 5-4 Polish lead into the final period. Finland scores twice within 19 seconds mid way through the 3rd taking back the lead 6-5. The polices pull their backstop for a final push and score to tie up this game at 6’ds and thats how this one finished. Very exciting and many visits with Brenda as well. Fins go 0-3 on the PP and Poland goes 0-2. All Finland goals were singles by Cosentino, May, Diluzio, Ianno, Nicholson and Spence. Poland gets 2 goals from Robin Chantaj and singles from Byer, Barbosa, Flumerfelt and Young. Finland player of the game goes to #15 Dr. Joel May and Poland awards #14 Robin Chantaj. mmm interesting look.  Not sure if Mrs. Chantaj needs to see this.

Swedes get the lone 2 goals in the 2nd frame. Swedes score 4 more goals in the final frame and Canada gets a late one to break Swedens shut out. Final score Sweden 6 Canada 1. Penalty free game. Nice!!! Cummings gets the lone Canada goal. Sweden ageless wonder Bruce Freeman scores twice and singles from Rukavina, Sharp, Atchison and Thomas. Players of the game goes to Canada’s Jay Cummings and to Swedens Ron Cormier.
