This year’s Conn Smythe Trophy goes to veteran netminder Arty Senkowski. Arty had a strong playoffs that kept his team in the race and got them to the Gold Game for a chance to go for glory.

Then Arty accomplished a feat never before seen in PCOHL history — he recorded a SHUTOUT in the Gold Medal Game! This accomplishment is made all the more remarkable by the opponent he faced, the offensive powerhouse Ireland. Ireland eclipsed all other teams in scoring this year and had the most goals in the Round Robin going into the Gold Game. And despite the Irish pounding the net as they had done all season with dozens of scoring chances, Arty stopped every single one to give his team the Championship and end the Rukavina Curse after 26 years.

Art Senkowski is a former Calder Trophy winner and Vezina Trophy winner, and this year he adds the Conn Smythe Trophy to his case.

Congratulations Arty on a great year!
