Historical Data has been updated
OK our season stats from last year has been updated to all of our historical stats. We are playing in our 38th season this year. Our first 14 years starting in 1987 is our vintage era and we had no individual stats from those years but we did know all our Gold medal winning teams and players from our old trophies. The last 24 years, our modern era, we have mostly all of our individual stats.
A few highlights for your amusement. Billy Dawe is our longest active member playing in his 35th season. Irelands coach Mark Plewes has played 30 seasons and backstop Frank Rispoli, our Prez, has played 28 seasons. Jeff Kostick is playing in his 20th season this year. Harty and Thomas have played 15 years. Gunther, Randa and Sharp have played 10 seasons.
Last season our attendance was up just a bit at 11.5 skaters per team per game. Goals scored per regular season game was at 9.6 just below our 24 year average of 9.8. Penalty minutes last year was at 4.6 per game 3rd lowest in the last 24 years, Brenda was lonely. Playoffs last year seemed to favour our goalies as goals per game was at 6.5 2nd lowest ever!!! Also our penalty minutes per game was at 5.5 our lowest ever. We are getting older and less scrappy haha.
Some individual key numbers. Tygessen has 149 career goals and Sharp has 147 goals going into this season. Guerra has 299 career assists. Ianno and Young have 146 career assists. Infamous Johnny Sparrow still is our career penalty minute man at 201 (in just 9 seasons). Atchison is next best at 170 minutes, just a few misconducts away dog. Playoff stats sees Rispoli moving into all time playoff wins with 42 passing Bobby Ides 39. Senkowski takes over career playoff shutouts with 3, his biggest last year in the Gold medal game. He also has the highest career win percentage at 62.1%. McCallum has the most gold medals as a goalie in his career with 5 and now is chasing player records, our very own Bo Jackson.
When it comes to playoff player stats its all Leo Brideau. Nobody is even close. 208 career playoff points, next best is 142. 97 playoff goals next best 61. Career penalty minutes is all Gary Julius at 69 but Alan Robb at 61 is knocking on the door. Hanson brothers those 2. When it comes to playoff medals again the best in class is Leo Brideau with 7 golds, 5 silvers and 9 bronze for a total of 21 medals in 22 playoff seasons, wow. Only once Leo was a playoff sclelpp!!! Next best is Dr. Joel May with 17 total medals. Mark Plewes has the most Gold medals with 9 modern era and 1 vintage era for a total of 10 gold medals, one for every finger and thumb.
So enjoy searching for your own personal stats and stuff and be nice to Billy Dawe in the corners.
