Early game last week between USA and Finland was a good one.  The Donald Trumpsters took a 2-1 lead after the 1st period.  Finland out scored the Americans 2-1 in the 2nd to get this tilt all tied up at 3’s after 2 periods.  Finland jumped out in front midway through the 3rd but the Americans tied it up a minute later.  This one ends in a 4-4 tie.  Good hockey game and penalty free!!!!!!!!!   USA got 2 goals from fireplug Joe Cosentino and singles from Rob McKean and Steve Sparrow.  Finland got goals from Rob Messenger, Brian Spence, Brent Beer and new member Evan Scott.  Evan replacing Jeffery Barkin on Finland also is awarded Player of the Game, great way to make new friends.  USA gives their award to Joe Cosentino.

Late game between the winless Swedes and the high flying Polocks.  Poland scores the lone goal in the opening frame.  Sweden storms out in the 2nd period and scores 4 unanswered goals taking a 4-1 lead into the final frame.  Poland scores twice in the first 2 and a half minutes of the 3rd making it a 1 goal game.  Poland then ties up the game at 4’s at 4:30 of the 3rd.  Sweden went back on top with just under 3 minutes to go.  Sweden then took a 2 goal lead with 2 minutes left on the clock.  Poland would not sit back and they score 30 seconds later once again making it a 1 goal game.  And thats how this bad boy ended, Sweden 6 Poland 5.  Swedens first win of the season as 2017 coming to a close.  A large celebration on the ice as Sweden carried its goalie off the ice on their shoulders.   Poland went 0-2 on the PP and Sweden was 0-0.  Sweden got 2 goals from Rukavina and singles from Brian Ree, Robin Flumerfelt, Tony Thomas, and Patric Sharp. Poland got 2 goals from both Frank Nweisser and Joe Peacock and a single goal from Eric Fletcher.  Players of the Game went to Polands #11 John Annan and to Sweden with the horns pointing up for the first time goes to goalie Bobby Ide with a huge game.
