Ahhh Boys How sweet it is as we all finally get back on the ice!!!!! We had to adjust our schedule based on us missing over a month. We will take out a round of regular season games and go with a 16 game reg season and a full playoffs. We are still waiting for final approval from the City for our seasonal spring ice bus as soon as it is confirmed we will let you all know.

Early game was a big one as David Dodic Slovenia faced off against the Rabba Scotland squad for 1st place. Both squads missing their top D man for this one. Scotland scored the lone 2 goals in the first frame. Deja vu in the the 2nd as Scotland comfortably on top 4-0 after 2 periods. Final frame saw Scotland out score the Slovs 3-1 for a final victory of 7-1 and now sit on top of the standings with the convincing win. Slovenia got its lone goal from their sponsor David Dodic. And for Scotland 3 goals (and 2 assists) from the rookie phenom Brad Stoll. Singles from Jason George, Dave Wodar, Murray Russell and Patty Sharp. Scotland went 1-1 on the PP and Slovenia was 0-1. Players of the Game went to Slovenia’s Eric Fletcher.

And for the Scots the very handsome Murray Russell.

Late game between Gary Julius Portugal and Chinook Paddles Ireland. All Irish in the 1st as they take a 3-0 lead. 2nd frame saw both squads score once for an Irish lead off 4-1. Final frame both backstops shut ‘er down, Portugal got a late goal but the Irish win this battle 4-2. Both teams went 1-1 on the PP. Portugal got goals from Rob McLaughlin and Peter Freeman. Ireland got goals from Bruce Lewis, Patty McCormick, Fill in Agostino Falcone with the game winner and the ageless Leo Brideau. Irelands Player of the Game went to fill in Agostino Falcone.

And for the Portugal squad it was so awesome to see big papa Bruce Freeman back off the IR and playing again, our oldest by age but youngest by heart. Welcome back handsome!!! You look good with that plunger in your hands.

OK so this week Friday, February 11 at 9:15 we have Scotland playing Portugal and at 10:30 Slovenia will face off against the very rested Italia squad. Ireland gets the week off. We have a few more Super Bowl squares left to sell, Plewsie will be around to finish them off and then we will draw our numbers and post them for all of you to see before the big game Sunday.

Be safe and see you all on the ice lads.
