Last weeks games recap.

Early game between Sweden and Canada.  Both squads score single goals in the first period.  Deja bus in the 2nd as this match was all tied up at 2’s after 2.  Sweden scores early in the 3rd and then take a 2 goal lead at 9:38.  But the mighty Canadians score 3 unanswered goals to win this match 6-4.  Canada went 0-3 on the PP and Sweden was 0-2.  Sweden got 2 goals from Tony Thomas and singles from Robin Flumerfelt and the Italian Stallion Steve Ferrin.  Canada got a hat trick from Marcelo Diluzio and singles from Tim Martins, Paul Harty and Murray Russell.  Players of the Game went to Canada’s #9 Marcelo Di Luzio and for Sweden to Mr. Happy #4 Tony Thomas.  Rumour has it Sweden may be charging a door fee for non Swedish players to visit their dressing room after the game.  Interesting.

So one more week left to complete our 20 game pre season schedule.  This weeks games go Friday, March 16 with the early match show casing Canada and Poland.  Should be a doozy as the winner will take top spot for the playoffs.  Maybe a Gold medal match preview?????  Late game between Sweden and USA as a playoff tune up.  Finland gets the week off.

See you all on the ice lads!
