Ok week 7 recap. Early tilt between Slovenia and Portugal was a nail biter!!! 3-2 for the Slovenians after 1 period. Shutouts at both ends for the 2nd frame. Portugal ties it up at 6:06 of the 3rd and then 30 ticks later take the lead 4-3. But just 30 seconds later Slovenia ties it up at 4’s and thats how this puppy finished. Slovenia got 2 goals from Dr. Joel May and singles from David Dodic and Johnny Spark Plug Fasulo. Portugal got singles from David Wodar, Greg Platt, Mike Russo and Robin Chantaj. Players of the Game went to Fill in Goalie for Slovenia Tony Cioffi. Handsome devil.

And for the Pork Chops with a 3 point night also very handsome Robin Chantaj.

Ok shake those images off!!! Late game between our top 2 squads Ireland and Italy. Could this be a Gold Medal Game preview??? 2-1 for the Irish after 1 period. Ireland scores the lone goal in the 2nd taking a 3-1 lead into the final period. Shutouts at both ends in the very tough fought final frame and this one goes to Ireland 3-1. Johnny Annan scores the lone Italy goal. Chris Deware the sophomore phenom scores twice and Tim Randa, the perfect wingman, scores the other Irish goal. Players of the Game went to Italy’s back stop Tomi Nieminen and for the Irish #15 Mattie Goddard.

Week 8 recap. Early game between Scotland and Ireland was close in the front half but then mid way through the 2nd got outs hand. 2-2 after 1 period. 4-0 for the Irish in the 2nd taking a 6-2 lead after 2. More Shamrock goals in the 3rd as they out score the Scots 3-1 in the 3rd and win this battle 9-3. Scotland got goals from Patty Sharp, rookie Steve Boyle and Enzo Ianno the simple roofer as he keeps telling me. Ireland got 4 goals from guess who??? Yup Chris Deware, do we need to have him pee in a bottle??? 2 goals from Tim Randa and singles from Robin Flumerfelt, rookie Fred Raidl with his first career PCOHL goal, and the best looking Freeman Timmy. Players of the Game went to Irelands Patty McCormick.

And for the Scots for the 4th time this season what????? Frankie Nweisser.

Ok the late game last week between Italy and Portugal was a really good game. All Pork Chops in the 1st as they surprise the Italians like the North Macedonians did too with a 4-1 lead, wtf????? Italy pays them back in the 2nd with also a 4-1 scoring and a 5-5 tie after 2 frames. Italy took their first lead in the game with 5 minutes to go, and then score again at 3:38. Portugal get one late back but ran out of time and Italy wins this one 7-6. Great game. Portugal got 4 goals from Mikey Russo and singles from Murray Russell and fill in Pat Sharp. Italy got 2 goals each from Marcelo Di Luzio and Dave Vincelli and singles from Leo Brideau, Neil Kelly and the game winner from Tony Deluca who by the way is the Happiest Italian to be back playing for his homeland. Players of the Game went to Italy’s Neil Kelly, not sure what he is doing with his fingers and his mouth??, and for the Portuguese Mike Russo.

OK so this week will be #9 November 17. Early game between Ireland and Portugal and late game between Scotland and Slovenia. Italians get the week off. See you all on the ice lads!!
