Last weeks games recap. Early match was a good one between Slovenia and Italy. Both squads missing their top forwards for this one. 1-1 after the first period. More of the same in the 2nd as both teams scored twice for a 3-3 tie after 2 periods. Italy scored mid way through the 3rd and added a late one for a final 5-3 victory. Rispoli was unbeatable in the 3rd. Both teams went 1-1 on their PP. Slovenia got goals off the wood of Robin Chantaj, Murray Russell and Peter Freeman. Italy got goals from Marcello Di Luzio, Jeff Boulton, Tim Lochner with his first ever PCOHL goal, Agostino Falcone with the game winner and Paul Barbosa. Players of the Game went to Slovenia’s veteran Robin Chantaj and for the Italians the very handsome Agostino Falcone.

Late game between Scotland and Portugal was close for the opening frame but not after that. 2-2 after 1 period. All Scotland in the 2nd as they score 3 unanswered for a 5-2 lead. More of the same in the final frame as the Scots out score the Pork Chops 4-2 for a final victory of 9-4. Scots went 2-3 on the PP and Portugal was 1-1 with a short handed one as well. Portugal got 2 goals and assist from sophomore Mike Russo and singles from Joe Peacock and Eric Fletcher. Scotland got 3 goals and 2 assists from the very slimming Patty Sharp. 2 goals from Timmy Randa and singles from Greg Platt, Dave Wodar, Neil Wilson and Frank Nweisser. Players of the Game went to Portugals Mike Russo.

This weeks games goes on December 9, 2022 at 9:15 Slovenia will face off against Ireland and at 10:30 Italy will skate against Scotland. Portugal get the week off to Xmas shop. Don’t forget to bring your cash for our annual Holiday 50/50 draw. $5 for a ticket or $20 for 5 tickets. Plewes will be around selling.
